Lady Gaga

This post is about the infamous Lady Gaga and the fact that I only just saw the Telephone Video the other day - which I can now not stop watching because I think its amazing! I also went out and bought Q magazine because I heard she was on the front cover with a dildo under her trousers! At first when she made her massive storm on to the charts with Just Dance I thought nothing of her, sure I liked her music and I thought she had a voice similar to Christina Aguilera but I had no idea that she would create this much of a media frenzy! Now, she is without a doubt, one of those artists that could release a truly crap song and it would still go big. Her appearance is liberating because she says in Q magazine that she doesnt just want to look pretty, she pushes the boundaries and her songs are something that most girls out there can identify with. It's hard to believe that at the age of 23 (only 2 years older than me!!) she has acheieved so much, sure she has gone through rought times, apparantly battling with drug addictions and finding it hard to get a record deal, but she has now accomplished more than most people would have expected, I can now say officially that I am an avid fan of hers and I cant see that changing anytime soon :)

My first blog

welcome to my blog, this is my very first one so no judgement. I'm not very good at technical things and I have been meaning to blog for about two years now and I have (successfully) put it of! :) but here we are (finally) i'm not to sure wot I intend to blog about because I wouldn't say I have a definate thing I want to talk about, I like to talk about anything and everything (hence the title) so (providing I stick to this) I intend to talk about anything that catches my mind that day.
I am currently a journalism student at The University of Central Lancashire and I am in my third year, I have wanted to become a journalist ever since the age of 15 and was inspired by such films like Watergate and Hotel Rwanda and later on Blood Diamond, I believe in the freedom of speech and I believe that the public has the right to know about anything and everything, whether or it it be soft news or hard news.
I am specialising in Magazine journalism as I believe you have the chance to explore news stories in more depth as features and so far I have worked with the South African Big Issue Now magazine and NME magazine i also have an upcoming internship with Loaded magazine in Spetember, which I am very excited about, lets hope the placements keep on coming :)
